Gentle help for animal pain

Our pets are family members – whether dogs, cats, horses or rabbits. When they suffer from pain, injuries or chronic complaints, we want to help them quickly and gently. Soft laser therapy has become established as a modern, pain-free and low-side-effect treatment method in veterinary medicine.

In this article you will learn how our soft lasers are used to promote healing in animals and why they can be a valuable support for pet owners.

What is a soft laser?

A soft laser (also called a low-level laser or cold light laser) works with focused, low-energy light that penetrates deep into the tissue.

Unlike surgical lasers, it produces no heat and is completely pain-free. The laser stimulates the body's own healing processes, promotes cell regeneration and improves blood circulation.

Areas of application in animals

Soft lasers are used for a wide range of complaints – both acute and chronic:

  • Wound healing (e.g. after operations or injuries)
  • Joint complaints (e.g. arthrosis, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia)
  • Disc problems in dogs
  • Skin conditions (hot spots, eczema, allergies)
  • Inflammation (e.g. ear infections, gum inflammation)
  • General pain therapy
  • Muscle tension
  • Rehabilitation after surgery or trauma

Why soft lasers for animals?

1. Gentle & pain-free treatment

Animals find soft laser therapy pleasant – no anaesthesia or sedation is required.

2. Promoting natural healing

By stimulating cellular metabolism, wounds heal faster, inflammation subsides and pain is relieved.

3. No side effects

Unlike medication, the soft laser is a side-effect-free alternative – particularly important for older or medication-sensitive animals.

4. Easy home use

With portable devices such as the B-Cure Laser Vet or the Labpen Med, pet owners can carry out the therapy independently at home.

Experiences from pet owners & vets

Numerous pet owners report positive changes in their animals after just a few treatments:

„My Labrador suffered from severe arthrosis – after two weeks of soft laser with the B-Cure he is walking noticeably better again."

„Our cat had a poorly healing wound. With the Labpen it had nearly healed within a few days."

Many vets also rely on soft laser therapy as a complement to conventional treatment, especially for chronic conditions.

How to apply the soft laser correctly

  • 1. Calm the animal and position it comfortably
  • 2. Place the laser directly over the affected area
  • 3. Observe the treatment duration (usually 3–6 minutes per area)
  • 4. Repeat regularly (e.g. 1–2 times daily for 1–2 weeks)

Important: The application is straightforward, but ideally it should be discussed with your vet – especially for serious conditions.

When is a soft laser particularly useful?

  • When you want to give your animal a gentle pain therapy
  • When you are looking for an alternative to medication
  • When you want to accelerate wound healing or recovery
  • When you want to carry out treatment at home, independent of time and place
